COP26: President Joe Biden astonishes motorists as ‘The Beast’ armored car stops at Edinburgh petrol station

The vehicles were seen at the BP gas station on Calder Road around 9.15pm tonight.

Local resident Gareth Mackie spotted not one, but two presidential cars, nicknamed ‘The Beast’.

Gareth said, “It was around 9.15pm when I was driving and I could just see lots of blue flashing lights in my rearview mirror. I saw on the opposite side of Calder Road that the traffic had stopped and at first I thought there was some trouble.

“As a former journalist, my instinct told me to come back and find out more.

“I could see the Beasts, so I realized what it was. I saw what looked like a couple of pretty heavy SWAT vehicles. There was a guy in green fatigue who was pretty equipped. The police motorcycles guarded the exit, and it looked like , that you would not be able to get in while they filled up.

“Both beasts both had the same license plate. ‘800 002’ was on each – I had heard that there was something they were doing with a decoy.

A presidential car was spotted at the BP gas station on Calder Road by local resident Gareth Mackie.

“I could not see Joe, maybe he had appeared at the Beijing banquet nearby while they were filling up, because they would probably be a while with the mileage on those things.”

Around that time, Biden was seen arriving at the Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club in Kirknewton, where he was staying during COP26.
