Restaurants are leading the economic recovery after lockdown, where many can boast of booked dining rooms since the restrictions were lifted. 1908 at Cronulla is among those celebrating a renewed love of dining out, with customers flocking to make reservations via a leading app. The restaurant booking app The Fork recently released data showing that Cronulla was in the top 10 suburbs for restaurant reservations in both NSW and Greater Sydney in the days leading up to the lockdown. Cronulla came in as number nine in NSW for most booked restaurants and number six in Greater Sydney, only after Sydney, Paddington, Darlinghurst, Mosman and Narellan. Statistics provided to the manager of The Fork showed that in the days immediately following the closure, 1908 Restaurant and Cronulla Caringbah Hotel Bistro each received 11 percent of all restaurant bookings on the app, placing them in a straight third place. Summer Salt Restaurant was close behind in fourth place with 10 percent of all restaurant bookings. 1908 As exciting as the reopening after the lockdown has been, it has also been extremely overwhelmingly leading in the summer months with groups wanting to celebrate their homecoming combined with corporate events and sadly lack of staff. Lockdown was challenging for a large number of employees as they needed to find employment elsewhere with so much uncertainty about how long the shutdown would last. The lack of international students & travelers is another key factor. We are very grateful & grateful to our loyal return followers for their continued love & protection.
