DC launches online COVID portal for reporting home test results

DC Mayor Muriel Bowser and the city’s health department have launched an online portal where residents can self-report corona test results at home.

The tool allows users to alert agencies and healthcare providers with quick antigen or PCR test results, which are over-the-counter products, WTOP reported. All submitted reports must also include laboratory results.

Officials said the portal will allow for more accurate contact tracking and faster assistance to positive test results, the WTOP reported.

The city also provides home test kits via its Test Yourself website, the WTOP reported.
