A court has heard the shocking triple-0 calls from the night a football star allegedly beat his fiance after finding her kissing his teammate at a housewarming party.
The then Bulldogs hooker Michael Lichaa allegedly assaulted his partner Kara Childerhouse after finding her in an intimate affair with Canterbury teammate Adam Elliott in their new home in Connells Point in February this year.
The triple-0 recording was played in court Tuesday after a neighbor called police after waking up screaming and smashing into the property next door.
“I can hear a man shouting at a woman …” kill her to hell, “the court heard in the call.
Another neighbor said, ‘I can hear a man shouting very, very loudly. There’s a lot of banging and smashing … I can hear things being thrown. ‘
Former NRL star Michael Lichaa and his ex-fiancée Kara Childerhouse (pictured right) appeared in Sutherland Local Court today
Lichaa, 28, was charged with a number of offenses, including assault, after he allegedly attacked Mrs Childerhouse when he found her ‘having fun’ with teammate Adam Elliott
The couple, who were engaged, have since broken up over the incident at their housewarming party in February this year
Lawyers for Lichaa, 28, told Sutherland Local Court he would plead guilty to the charge of destroying or damaging property after he allegedly smashed a window in a rage after finding his fiance with his teammate.
However, he will fight the other two charges, including common assault, over the housewarming party that has effectively ended his NRL career.
Police claim Lichaa, a star in Sharks junior, fell asleep at the housewarming party only to wake up and find Mrs. Childerhouse, 26, by becoming intimate with teammate Elliott.
Lichaa then allegedly lost his temper and assaulted his fiance before smashing a windowpane. Police say they found the 28-year-old with a severely cut hand just after 1 p.m.

Ms Childerhouse testified at a distance from another room at Sutherland Local Court while Lichaa watched in the court’s public gallery.
The couple has since broken up.
Lichaa’s attorney James Trevallion said Elliott should be called as a witness as he was the only witness to the incident.
“Since he is the only eyewitness, he should, in my view, be called … I know the court has no power to compel the prosecution to call a witness,” Mr Trevallion said.
The lawyer also said that Mrs Childerhouse’s mother said at night: “Yes, she’s okay but drunk … he said nothing happened and she said nothing happened.”
Elliott himself is in disgrace after being released by the Bulldogs for being thrown out of a Gold Coast restaurant for lewd behavior in the bathroom with a woman.
The 27-year-old, who was given a lifeline by the Canberra Raiders, has been reprimanded twice by the NRL this year, and his career is also hanging in the balance due to a series of off-field incidents.
