Salt Bae’s London restaurant hires, and the hourly wage is the same price as a corn on the cob on his menu

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to work at Salt Bae’s London restaurant, do not be surprised.

Knightsbridge-based Nusr-Et is hiring.

The infamous steakhouse run by Nusret Gökçe, aka Salt Bae, is looking for a Chef de Partie to work in the kitchen.

A Chef de Partie usually works in one area of ​​the kitchen and takes charge of several chefs and assistants at once.

The ad claims to offer a “competitive salary”, although it goes on to state that the successful candidate will be paid an hourly rate of £ 12 plus gratuity, which is the same price as a serving of corn on the cob or mashed potatoes on the restaurant’s menu.

Salt Bae’s ad announces the vacancy on and reads: “Great opportunity for an experienced Chef De Partie to join the Nusret team in the new restaurant in London!

As Chef De Partie, you will work with some of the finest ingredients from the UK and abroad in [the] one of the most famous steakhouses in the world.

“You will play a crucial role in a great team and will support the chef during the service.

“For the successful candidate, Nusret London offers a highly competitive salary and excellent opportunities to develop a global career.

“If you are a Chef de Partie who wants to work [in] the famous steakhouse, send your CV, we would like to hear from you! ”

Nusr-Et’s most recent vacancy comes after no candidates showed up for the restaurant’s hiring day last month.

After calling the staff on Instagram, Nusr-Et appealed to waiters, runners, bartenders, bartenders, kitchen porters and toilet attendants to enter the restaurant and hand in their resumes.

Even Salt Bae was at the restaurant in the hopes that his presence would attract potential hires.

But as the Sun approached the day, a member of staff said no one was looking past yet.

Since opening in September this year, Nusr-Et has become famous for its extravagant menu, where some of the meat is wrapped in gold leaf, and for landing its customers with enormous banknotes.

Nusr-Et’s recruitment problems come amid a staff crisis that gripped the capital in the wake of the pandemic and Brexit.

Many of London’s restaurants have struggled to hire and retain staff, with many leaving the UK as a result of the pandemic and many struggling to get to work in the UK as a result of Brexit.
