Adidas unveils a new, Xbox 360-inspired sneaker that you can actually buy

Microsoft continues to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Xbox in style this year with another Adidas sneaker: the Xbox 360 Forum Mid, which, as the name suggests, is inspired by the company’s second console.

The Xbox 360 design follows the first Xbox / Adidas collaboration announced in October, which took inspiration from the original Xbox console. However, the Xbox 360 Forum Mid is embellished in the white, silver and green color scheme of the 360s for a 2005 era look, complete with lots of subtle details that refer to the original design. For example, the Velcro strap is adorned with the disc tray from the 360, while the vents and Xbox button are highlighted on the outside. Even the heel is designed to look like the memory card and hard drive slots. The shoe comes with red, yellow, green and blue laces, which also represent the A, B, X and Y buttons on the 360 controller.

Microsoft and Adidas are also teasing that a third model – inspired by the Xbox Series X – will be announced on November 15 at its festive stream for the Xbox’s 20th anniversary and glory to close the sneaker trilogy.

And unlike the original Xbox collaboration (which was a limited edition giveaways), the Xbox 360 Forum Mid will actually be available for purchase. The sneaker is set to be available in the US and Canada on November 4 at. 7:00 PT / 10:00 ET on Adidas’ website, although there is nothing about the price yet. That said, if demand is anything like it is for the next generation of Xbox Series X, Series S and even the Xbox mini-fridge, you probably need a healthy dose of luck to grab a few.
