Charges are recommended against couples in SkyTrain mask attack – BC

A couple have been arrested in connection with an assault on SkyTrain last month.

Transit police said on September 20 that a female SkyTrain passenger asked a masked man and woman sitting near her if they had a face mask, to which they replied, “What is it for you?”

The female suspect allegedly knocked the woman to the ground, police said, and the couple then beat her before leaving the train at Metrotown station.

Charges against a 19-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man have been recommended. The two Burnaby residents are known to police.

They have been released on parole ahead of next month’s court hearing.
