Guitar slinger Dave Keuning is the new owner of an inviting aerie in the Hollywood Hills. The Killer’s founding member paid a whopping $ 9.57 million for the 8,385-square-foot home, which was completed in 1989 and features Spanish and modern architectural features.

A late 20th-century building, but the details of the style accumulate into a compelling whole; raw vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and arched doorways throughout are among the more disarming features of this home’s interior style. The decorative ceiling in the dining room is particularly atmospheric. Black-treated doors and windows with steel frames keep things up to date.

The facilities of the home include a screening room and a wine tasting room with a floor-to-ceiling storage rack that is really quite beautiful, but the centerpiece is the pool and patio area and its fine views of downtown Los Angeles.

The Killers, who have probably never been involved in any killings, have nevertheless managed to sell nearly 30 million records worldwide. They have released seven studio albums, all of which reached the top 10 Billboard 200 diagram. Their latest, Printing machine, was released this summer.
