Liv Tyler and fiance Dave Gardner ‘SPLIT’ after seven years of romance

Liv Tyler and her fiancé Dave Gardner have divorced after seven years and two children, according to a new report.

The Sun claims that the actress, 44, and David Beckham’s best friend in the football agent, 45, broke up in March after ‘growing apart’ and increasingly living separate lives.

The couple share two children, Sailor Gene, six, and Lula Rose, five.

Liv is also the mother of son Milo, 16, from her marriage to ex-husband Royston Langdon, while Dave shares a son Gray, 14, with his ex-wife Davinia Taylor.

A source said: ‘Dave and Liv spent the whole first lockdown together and are a fantastic team as parents, but unfortunately they have grown apart and increasingly have lived separate lives.

“Both wanted to focus on their careers – her acting and production, and Dave runs his business and works on David’s Inter Miami football project.”

‘They officially broke up in March, but they have kept quiet to minimize trouble and make sure their children were okay.’

The source added that they have now come out on the other side of their problems and are good friends and they are even holidaying together this summer.

The newspaper goes on to say that Dave has confided in his best friend David – who has been ‘a rock’ during the difficult time, and that the whole family has been supportive throughout the process.

It is also alleged that Dave has returned to Los Angeles while Liv remains in London.

Representatives of Dave and Liv have been contacted by MailOnline for a comment.

It comes after Dave shared a funny video of a swimsuit-clad Liv on a water slide last July, when he congratulated her on her 43rd birthday.

Next to the clip, the sports agent also shared some cute family photos with their kids Sailor and Lula while he sweetly wrote: ‘Happy Happy Happy Birthday to our beautiful Momma ❤️❤️❤️ xxx.’

In the funny video shared on Dave’s Instagram, the Armageddon star beamed for the camera while wearing a bright blue and pink floral long-sleeved swimsuit and wet, tousled hair.

She then continued to zip down the huge water slide with her hands up and fell into the sea below.

The star was then followed by one of her children on the roller coaster, where Liv met them at the bottom.

Dave also shared another photo of Liv taking a selfie with her two young children.

While another recurring image saw the family of four enjoying a boat trip where Sailor and Lula were seen wearing red life jackets.

Dave wrote under the caption to the post: “Happy birthday to our beautiful mother.”

Liv told honestly about their relationship with Red magazine back in 2017 and insisted that it was the desire to expand their families that helped strengthen their ties.

“We both wanted a family and kids and a partnership and love,” she explained.

‘Our job is high stress and high energy and constant movement, so it’s really just the family part we’m on the same page about, which is great because I know it’s often quite difficult for couples.’

The actress also credited Dave for his practical approach to parenthood and willingness to step in as Liv’s hugely successful career continued uninterrupted after her move to the UK.

She remembered: ‘After I moved to England, I resumed contact with an agent, and within about a week she said,’ I have this job for you ‘, and it started the following week.

‘It meant I had to commute to Leeds for a few days at a time, but it was so good for me and David was like,’ I have this’. He was home every night for dinner and bedtime and kept the fort down.

‘He drops the boys at school every single morning while I stand there at the door in my pajamas, covered in food, with both babies in my arms.’

The inevitable demands that come with becoming a parent to a family of four growing children were brought to the fore during family vacations, she explained – but she did not want it any different.

“It’s so hard to go on vacation with so many,” she said. ‘We are not the kind of parents who will say,’ Stay here and go to bed, we’re going out. ‘ We will always do everything.

‘But then you have to go out and eat with, like 10 people … The babies have to eat right away, and then they are completely restless and throw food all over it. And the moment the boys are done, they say, ‘We’re off now’. You stand back and try to enjoy a glass of wine and your meal with food flying everywhere. ‘

The couple had been engaged since September 2015, when Dave fell to his knees and asked the question.

She later admitted that it had not been the most glamorous moment, and told FABLife that she was pregnant at the time and had just stepped out of the shower.

‘It was very sweet, I was very surprised. I had no idea and I did not look very attractive, she said.

‘I was pregnant and I was like crying and had just come out of the shower and I was like unpacking. It was not a particularly glamorous moment. ‘
