A man is in hospital after a shooting in the eastern end of Toronto on Tuesday night, police said.
In a tweet, police said they were called to Bellamy Road and the Eglinton Avenue East area around 6 p.m. 18.20 for reports of a vehicle being shot at by another vehicle.

When officers arrived, they found several shell casings on the roads.
Vagtinsp. Michael Williams said both vehicles were driving north on Bellamy Road and turning east on Adanac Drive, but noted police are still investigating the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
He also said the vehicles involved in this shooting may be involved in a few collisions that could not remain while leaving the scene.

The 19-year-old man arrived at the hospital on his own. He received a gunshot wound to the left shoulder and is listed in critical but stable condition.
Investigators are calling for witnesses. Anyone with information or dashcam or mobile phone recordings should contact the police.
