The accused killer allegedly shot home in Brampton days before the murder

A 19-year-old is accused of opening fire on a home in Brampton just over a week before he allegedly killed a man from that city in Toronto earlier this year.

Peel Regional Police say the residence in the Goreway area Dr. and Castlemore Rd. was shot up around 3 a.m. on January 7th.

“Fortunately, there were no physical injuries,” police said Wednesday.

After a “lengthy investigation,” which included assistance from Toronto police, police say a suspect was identified.

Deandre Cadougan was charged on Tuesday with firing a firearm.

The Toronto man is already facing a second-degree murder charge for the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Tyjjuan Kidd-Bailey – 10 days after his home in Brampton was filled with gunfire.

The Brampton man was shot down on Duncanwood’s Dr. – near Finch Ave. W. and Islington Ave. – around. 18:00 on 17 January.
