The Block: Mitch Edwards and Mark McKie unleash Tanya Guccione

The Block’s Mitch Edwards and Mark McKie unleash villain Tanya Guccione and call her a ‘silly woman’ ahead of auction day

The Block’s Mitch Edwards and Mark McKie did not hold back when asked about their thoughts on Tanya Guccione ahead of auction day.

The Faves team blew up the 39-year-old makeup artist during an interview with Hit Queensland’s breakfast with Cliffo & Gabi on Wednesday.

They were asked for their response to Tanya calling them ‘pigs’ earlier in the season, and Josh and Luke Packham described them as ‘rude, rich snobs’.

‘I’m not that bad with the’ rude, rich, grandpa, old snob ‘ [insult] because the rich part is like, “Yay, thank you so much,” Mitch said jokingly.

But he said he did not appreciate being branded as a pig, and he sarcastically called it a “pretty cool” insult for an adult woman to use.

Mark then came to say that Tanya had not ‘technically’ said they were pigs – but this was again a sarcastic comment on how she had tried to refuse to ever use the term, despite being caught by the camera in doing so.

The block duo were also asked their thoughts on who took the picture in the middle of the ‘whiteboard gate’ cheating scandal.

The culprit will apparently be revealed during Sunday’s season finale.

Mark said of the hype surrounding the auction day: ‘We watched like everyone else and the campaign came out and we said,’ Seriously? ‘

‘No one has ever confessed to us, no one has ever told us. So we can not wait. ‘

Mitch added: “But also, will it be ‘the truth’ or ‘someone’s truth’? ‘

This was a cunning reference to how Tanya repeatedly used the term ‘my truth’ when she told her side of the story in relation to the cheating scandal.

In an explosive trailer for auction day, Tanya and the Packham twins appear to be wasting the beans and revealing what really happened behind the scenes.

The brothers say they want to get clean about the ‘whiteboard gate’ plot.

Meanwhile, Tanya is set to reveal the text message she received from the ‘anonymous tradition’ that allegedly started it all.

Tanya and Vito were at the center of a scandal early in the season after she got a picture of the show’s production schedule on a blackboard.

Anyone who saw the picture would have the benefit of being able to plan their specifications weeks in advance or pre-order something for a particular room.

While Gucciones and Packhams each got two points for a space revelation after their plot was revealed, Tanya has not yet properly explained how she got the picture, instead giving a vague story about being sent by a ‘tradie’.

Some still suspect she broke into host Scott Cam’s office and even took the picture, leading to persistent tensions at the construction site.
