OPP closed Highway 7 for a severely crashed Tuesday afternoon (November 2) in Emily Township.

A resident of Omemee was killed in a crash on Highway 7 in Emily Township on Tuesday afternoon (November 2).

Emergency crews were called to the area of ​​Bethel Road around 2.15pm for a collision with several vehicles involving an SUV and a sedan that collided head-on, according to Kawartha Lakes OPP.

As a result of the clash, OPP says Elsie Lees, 78, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other motorist was driven to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
