Welcome to the new world, at least what we know about it

During the first few weeks of November, I will take stock of how many member companies have actually made inroads, and I unrealistically hope that this never happens again.

Summer at The Docks

We plan to activate the NewQuay Promenade over consecutive weekends in December up to the Christmas markets in The District Docklands on December 17th. I am currently buying entertainers and musicians to perform in the beer garden between Cargo and Berth, so if you know anyone who might be interested please contact me –[email protected]

The consecutive weekends 4.-5. and 11.-12. December, which culminates in the evening of the 17th will see more than 20 performances. The goal is to increase pedestrian traffic in the Docklands and informal spending to support our local businesses. We plan to continue it through January and February and end the summer with the World Press Photo Awards being held at Magnet Galleries and Docklands Gift again running at Ron Barassi Senior Park on February 20th.

Docklands Dollars

Our flagship program that supports the area is up and running again, so if you have friends or family visiting and staying a minimum of two nights in the Docklands with one of our registered accommodation providers, they are entitled to up to $ 210 off. Get them to go docklandsdollars.com.au To register.

Docklands Chambers Annual General Meeting (AGM)

Our general meeting will again be virtual for the second year in a row. Tuesday, November 9, will be the date, participation is open to any member of the House with the Executive Committee appointed at night and positions voted for by the President.

Social support

Finally, the easiest way for us is to help you with exposure on our social channels by hashtag #docklandsmelb and #docklandsiloveyou. We follow both tags every single day and actively share them. Let’s get started with Docklands! •
