Vancouver police have charged two men and a young man in a swarm that injured three officers, one of whom was hospitalized, at English Bay last summer.
Anthony King, 26, Chas Verrier, 21, and the minor have been charged with assaulting a police officer and obstructing a police officer for their alleged role in the high-profile fight in June.

“Thanks to tips from the public, we were able to identify these alleged agitators and arrest them,” Art said. Tania Visintin in a Thursday press release.
“We presented the evidence to the BC Prosecution Service, which this week approved charges of crime.”

Around 7pm on June 18, beach patrol officers were called in to investigate a major fight and possible assault involving 10 people, the statement said.
They arrested and handcuffed a man as they tried to disperse the situation.

This man caused unrest and refused to leave, leading to about a dozen others surrounding the officers in an “extremely unstable” situation.
In the end, three officers were injured, according to Vancouver police.
