The opening night of the Alakkaajut (Many Things Appear) exhibition featured music and food from circumpolar countries

Works of art by original artists from circumpolar countries are on display in Alakkaajut (Many Things Appear), the first exhibition of the new Nordic Lab in Ottawa’s SAW Gallery.

The project had its grand opening on November 19th and can be seen until March 5th. Artists whose works have been exhibited include Sonya Kelliher-Combs of Alaska, Maureen Gruben of the Northwest Territories and Sissel M. Bergh of Norway. Taqralik Partridge from Nunavik is the director of Nordic Lab.
