Shut up uuuuuuuuup.
I drove a 1.25 KD in Halo infinite last night, while being crocheted by a player on my own team.
“Mommy’s Credit Card,” he repeatedly taunted me, noting the $ 10 AUD Cloud9 skin I bought because it both represents Stevivor colors and makes my spartan look like DC’s Nightwing. “Will you carry us, Mom’s credit card?”
Because Halo infinite‘s social user interface is a bit overwhelming, I actually could not see which of my two microphone-containing teammates (at 0.25 and 0.32 KDs respectively) were constantly trying to abuse me, but I eventually found out, how to turn them both off. I would now like to pass on that information to you.
You have two options – disable voice and chat for everyone (except for any party you sign up for, of course) or mute certain people.
To turn off voice / text chat in Halo Infinite
- Go to Settings
- Go to Sound fanen
- Uncheck the boxes for both Fireteam & Lobbychat and Match Chat (look downstairs)
How to dampen players in Halo Infinite
This one is stupidly tricky for some reason. You can mute individuals in a fight, but it requires going through a few screens.
- Press Start button on your controller to see the Settings menu (not the Settings button, which displays a list of players)
- SO frame Opportunities button to enter Social menu
- From here, select a player and press ONE to go into a menu for Dumb, or just press AND to mute all players
Halo infinite multiplayer is now live on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X. Single-player goes to the title on December 8th. Check out ours Halo infinite review underway right here.
