If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to work at Salt Bae’s London restaurant, do not be surprised.

Knightsbridge-based Nusr-Et is hiring.

The infamous steakhouse run by Nusret Gökçe, aka Salt Bae, is looking for a sushi chef to work in the kitchen.

It may surprise you to hear that the famous steak restaurant offers something other than steak, but the Sushi Chef will be in charge of making dishes for the restaurant’s luxury sushi menu.

The ad claims to offer a “competitive salary”, although it goes on to state that the successful candidate will be paid an hourly rate of £ 14 plus gratuity, which is the same price as a serving of sautéed broccoli on the restaurant’s menu.

It would take the Sushi Chef at least an hour and a half to make enough money to afford any of the dishes they would make in the restaurant, with sushi dishes from £ 19 for four pieces.

Salt Bae’s ad announces the vacancy on and reads: “We are currently looking for a talented sushi chef to attend the new opening of Nusr-Et London!

“If you are enthusiastic about contributing in a fast-paced environment, please apply below!”

The restaurant’s ad describes their ideal candidate and continues: “You have experience in preparing sushi of the finest quality in a high-end kitchen with large volume.

“Excellent knife and cooking skills.

“Attention to detail and a passionate personality.

“Be able to work creatively at a high pace.

“Innovative, creative and flexible approach to traditional kitchens.”

Nusr-Et’s ad is the latest in a long line of vacancies at the restaurant, after it was reported last month that the restaurant had struggled to hire enough staff.

At a recruiting day in September, Salt Bae himself hosted a hiring day at the restaurant in the hopes that his presence would attract potential waiters, runners, bartenders and many other employees.

But as the Sun approached the day, a member of staff said no one was looking past yet.

Since opening in September this year, Nusr-Et has become famous for its extravagant menu, where part of the meat is wrapped in gold leaf, and for landing its customers with enormous banknotes.

Salt Bae became an internet sensation in 2017, after pictures of him flamboyantly sprinkling salt on steak went viral.

He has since left London to open his newest restaurant in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, but not before declaring his love for London in a bizarre video in which he stated that his English was “like a British”.
