World Superbike has released a preliminary 13-round calendar for the 2022 season.

Phillip Island aims to return for the first time since the Covid pandemic – but as a season finale, rather than a season opener – on a date to be announced.

This year’s events in Navarre and Jerez will not return, but the new Most (Czech Republic) and Mandalika (Indonesia) rounds continue.

Mandalika will remain in the November date despite monsoon rains forcing a cancellation of this year’s Saturday race and shortening of the second feature race.

The identity of 13. round is not yet settled. Turkey’s Istanbul Park is one of the rumors after home star Toprak Razgatlioglu’s historic title win.

“A 13th round will take place and we have some options for where this event could be, while it will be great to welcome Australia and the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit back to the calendar, this time to close the season. be confirmed due to logistical challenges that require further analysis, “said Gregorio Lavilla, WorldSBK Executive Director.

“I’m pleased to welcome you back to two of 2021’s new circuits: Autodrom Most and Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit. We look forward to another fantastic season of WorldSBK action.”

The new World Supersport class will be present at all rounds where the WorldSSP300 participates in all European events except Donington Park.
