After 18 difficult months for Melbourne, father Bob McGuire plans to spread Christmas cheer with a cruise around Victoria Harbor on the Melbourne showboat Lady Cutler.

“Cruise for Kindness” takes place on December 3, and funds will go to the Father Bob Maguire Foundation’s work to feed the hungry and house the homeless.

Father Bob said the three-hour cruise would take place from 6 p.m. 12.30pm to 4pm and cost $ 120 per person. inhabitant.

“It’s magical to see the Docklands take the lead in their show of kindness and generosity with the Melbourne Showboat Lady Cutler like a shining star, ”said Fr. Bob.

The cruise is thanks to Docklands’ business owner, Jeff Gordon, who lends Lady Cutler to the Father Bob team for free.

“This kind of generosity is too good to be true,” Fr. Bob said.

With Christmas around the corner, it’s ‘time to give’, so we invite Melburners and indeed Victorians to dig deep and support our three major events in the 2021 calendar.

The Father Bob Foundation is also running “We Need a Little Christmas Variety Show” – a free live event on December 15 on Fed Square’s main stage.

The annual Fr Bob Toy Run also takes place the week before Christmas, where motorcyclists from across the state gather to hand out gifts to needy children.

These events come after the foundation has served thousands of meals every day for the past two years to those hardest hit by the pandemic.

Father Bob encouraged those who had the means to donate to dig deep so that everyone could partake of the Christmas spirit.

“Come one, come all, spend some time with me and make a great donation to the ongoing work of the foundation, and help bring some joy, hope and rejoicing this holiday season.” •
