Fortnite is again about to end … so to speak. The popular battle royale game concludes the eighth season of its second chapter, leading to the launch of Fortnite Chapter 3. Before then, developer Epic Games has a big event in store for gamers.

The Fortnite Chapter 2 finale event, called The End, starts Saturday with players learning about the island’s fate and about reality itself. Once the event is over, Epic is likely to pull the plug on the game until the start of Chapter 3 on Tuesday. There is also an expectation that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson may also find his way into the game.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Fortnites The End event.

When is the beginning of The End?

Epic says the finale starts at. 13:00 PT (16:00 ET) Saturday, December 4th. As is the case with all of these season-ending events, it is best to log on to the match half an hour before the start time to download any updates and get into the game.

What is expected to happen during The End event?

The Fortnite Chapter 2 story culminates in a battle with Cube Queen, a creature from another reality who is responsible for the corruption cubes found on the island. It is she who has broken reality through the season and seems to be taking over the island.

If past seasonal events are any indicator, players will take part in a showdown with the Queen of Dice. This is likely to lead to some climax ending reality, with the result that the game closes until Tuesday.

Wait, The Rock is in Fortnite?

It’s not official, but it’s likely. Johnson tweeted Wednesday a short video promoting his Zoa energy drink. In the clip, a helmet of the character known as The Foundation can be seen in a refrigerator. The tweet also refers to “Zero Point”, which is a name used in the game that refers to the center of reality.

Also Wednesday d. a Twitter user uploaded an ad for Fortnite Chapter 3 seen on TikTok. In the ad, the camera turns around in the same way it does in Johnson’s video.

Fortnite is free to play on PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Android, Xbox One and Xbox Series consoles. The game is not available on iOS devices after one legal battle between Apple and Epic.
