The stunningly lavish mansion that served as the home of the Rose family before their fall from grace in Schitt’s Creek, has been on the market a few times since its famous appearance in the award-winning series, and is still currently up for sale – albeit for a long time cheaper price than before.

Called “La Belle Mansion”, the expansive castle-like home with 12 bedrooms and 16 bathrooms with too many features to mention: exterior carved limestone, a 14-point driveway, split staircase, soaring vaulted ceilings with Sistine Chapel-esque murals, a aquarium and marble and wrought iron galore.

It also has a full ballroom with dance floor, a home theater, a billiard room, indoor and outdoor pools, a wine cellar, a four-story elevator and more, all within an airy 24,000 square foot living space.

Located on 30 Fifeshire Road near York Mills and Bayview Avenue, it originally hit the market for $ 14,980,000 in August 2020, only to be re-listed in March for a cool $ 19,880,000, which was later changed back to $ 21,888,000 USD.

But it seems that despite the success of the luxury real estate market in the city, no one has bitten yet, and then the lavish property has now fallen almost 20 percent in price – as much as $ 4 million down to $ 17,888,000 this week.

Given how fierce competition and bidding wars become for just about any home in Toronto, one would have expected the property to go for millions more than asking (as so many homes have done lately).

Agents told blogTO earlier this year that the house part of the hit series could actually serve as a disadvantage, as far too many people who are actually not serious about buying it are asking to come and see it.

Alas, it is still sitting and waiting for a very unique (and of course extremely wealthy) buyer, and the longer it sits on the market, the worse it looks to the sellers.
