Some bare flags, shields and photographs display a banner with the text “victory or death”.

Their faces were mostly hidden by sunglasses and white coatings around their noses and mouths.

Group leader Thomas Rousseau gave a speech near the Capitol’s reflective pool while spectators bubbled, The Daily Beast said.

“Our demonstrations are an exhibition of our united ability to organize, to show our strength,” Rousseau said according to the business.

“Not as fights or public nuisances, but as men who are able to illustrate a message and seek an America that is more like the interests of its true people.”

On Saturday, police closely monitored the site in case of violence, but the march ended without incident, The Daily Beast reported.

By the end of the protest, two dozen members were stranded as not everyone could fit in a U-Haul van hired to transport them to and from the rally, The Daily Beast said.

Many waited by the side of the road for hours while the vehicle made several trips, the business said.

According to The Anti-Defamation League, Patriot Front members believe their ancestors conquered America and bequeathed it.

The group advocates “racism, anti-Semitism and intolerance under the guise of preserving the ethnic and cultural origins of their European ancestors,” the organization said.

The Patriot Front broke out of the white nationalist group Vanguard America after the group murdered a woman at the infamous “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 2017.

Cassie Miller of the Southern Poverty Law Center, which tracks hate groups, told 6abc that the Patriot Front is without a doubt “the leading white supremacist group in the country,” with 42 branches across the United States.

The group is known for staging “flash” protests and torchlight demonstrations.
