Several key members working in Vice President Kamala Harris’ office are “eyeing the exits” after a handful of employees resigned in recent weeks.

It was announced last week that Harris ‘senior adviser Symone Sanders will leave her post by the end of the year, and according to people familiar with resignation talks, “key members of Harris’ circuit are leaving, and even more are seeing the outcome, “, Politico reported on Saturday.

Fox News contributor Joe Concha called Harris ‘office “a sinking ship” after Sanders’ announcement, pointing to her approval ratings. A recent poll shows her approval rating of 28%, while he had an approval rating of 46% upon accession.

“I’m guessing that when your boss’s approval ratings are at 28% and she’s voting even lower on her number one job, the southern border of the United States, where migrants continue to flow over, passes two million over this year. I also think I would leave because this is a sinking ship, “Concha said Saturday.

Reports have also been swirling for months that Harris’ office is toxic.

“People are being thrown under the bus right from the top, there are short fuses and it’s an abusive environment,” a person with direct knowledge of how Harris’ office is run. told Politico back in June. “It’s not a healthy environment and people often feel badly treated. It’s not a place where people feel supported, but a place where people feel treated as s —.”

The White House has downplayed the departures, with Biden press secretary Jen Psaki saying it was “natural” for employees to be ready to “move on.”

“Working on a presidential campaign … and working in the first year of a White House is exciting and rewarding, but it’s also exhausting and exhausting,” Psaki said Thursday. “It’s all those things at once.”

Democratic allies, meanwhile, are pushing Harris to embrace revenue as a zero-sum game, Politico reported.

“Any opportunity you get in politics to renew and recycle is a good opportunity,” Democratic strategist Donna Brazile told the newspaper. “In all stages of [Harris’] life, there were people she could take with her, and then there were people she had to pick up along the way because of the new responsibilities. And I think this is an opportunity that she has been doing throughout her career, to find people who are able to take a seat at the table, for guess what? There’s something new on the menu. “
