In August 2013 FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn was released worldwide for Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 3. Produced and directed by Naoki Yoshida and developed by Square Enix, the massive multiplayer online role-playing game served as a new and improved renewal of the 2010 version of the title.
Fast forward to today, and FINALLY FANTASY XIV still going strong. It is now available on PS5, PS4, PC and macOS. And it’s getting another expansion on December 7th.
FINAL FANTASY XIV: Endwalker is not only the latest expansion of the game, but it will also be the most exciting end Hydaelyn and the Zodiark saga, which spans eight years since the launch of FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn.
“Endwalker brings the story of Hydaelyn and Zodiark to a conclusion of eternity along the way,” says FINAL FANTASY XIV website. “Solving its mysteries and overcoming its challenges will not be an ordinary feat. May these records of key figures, threatening opponents, and countries not yet traveled serve you well.”
With the release of Endwalker comes a lot of new content. Expect the long-awaited new jobs – Sage and Reaper, new challenging dungeons and a new high-difficulty raid called Pandæmonium. That’s not all guys, on top of this the expansion will also include a new raid series, called Myths of the Realm, plus you will be able to play as a new gender (Male Viera).
The expansion will also include two new tribes – Arkasodara and Loporrits. The former resemble the great marid in both their stature and appearance, while the latter are mysterious beings who are said to have much in common with legendary beings who traveled to the kingdom from the moon.
As good news for people in our necks, Oceania will finally have its own data center to provide players from Australia and New Zealand with a more reliable server and give players the best possible experience. A welcome addition to say the least.
This new data center, which will be named Materia, will launch in February next year and open new worlds that will support free world transfer and provide bonuses to new players and those who want to take over existing characters.
FINAL FANTASY XIV can now boast as many as 24 million registered players worldwide (imagine that pretty much everyone in Australia is a registered player – game). So it’s never been a better time for beginners to get caught up in the FINAL FANTASY world, just in time to play Endwalker.
