We have Van Gogh on at the moment, a Frida and Diego one are coming, and now Gustav Klimt is getting the in-depth treatment. A new 360-degree digital art exhibition featuring works by the Austrian artist, best known for his gold-plated paintings, opens in London in the summer, after impressing art lovers in the states. Klimt: The immersive experience will use cutting-edge technology to create two-story projections of the artist’s most famous works, including The Kiss, Judith and the Holofer’s Head and The Tree of Life, so you can get up close and personal with these modernist masterpieces.
The exhibition will also include galleries focusing on Klimt’s life, his technique and his influences, and a VR experience that takes you through a day in the artist’s life and the inspiration behind some of his most iconic paintings. Tickets go on sale on December 14, but you can sign up for the waiting list in preparation.
