Alleged sexual assault by Ellenbrook: Man arrested for assaulting seven-year-old girl

A man has been arrested for the alleged assault on a seven-year-old girl in Ellenbrook.

The young girl was allegedly sexually assaulted in her bed in her home on Christmas Day.

It happens after a man was caught on CCTV jumping over a fence near the girl’s home in Ellenbrook. It has not been confirmed whether the man seen on the CCTV footage is the man the police have arrested.

Police said Wednesday that they are looking for the man to either “involve or eliminate” him from their investigation of the “heinous” incident.

It-Insp McKenzie said police could not say whether the alleged sexual assault was carried out during a burglary in the home or was a targeted attack on the seven-year-old girl.

The release of the footage comes after police revealed they were investigating whether the attacker could have climbed over a neighbor’s fence to gain access to or escape the Ellenbrook property.

A wall adjacent to the home where a little girl was allegedly sexually assaulted has become the center of forensic investigation as dozens of detectives continue to search the area in search of more clues.

Chief Investigator Det-Insp. Hamish McKenzie previously revealed that officers had found the hippopotamus, which is believed to have been taken the night of the attack.

“We’ve had some developments over the night, finding the fly screen that we’ve been looking for in the search area,” he said.

“So it is a particularly gratifying development for us. And it has been clinically tested while we talk. “

Police say the girl went to bed “as usual” at 8pm on December 26, after her parents had put her to bed.

But at some point during the night, a man broke into the house and entered the little girl’s bedroom while the parents slept some distance away.

They first heard about their daughter’s alleged ordeal when they got up around 6 p.m. 9 Monday and she told them what had happened. They then called the police.

Officers have not yet found the missing Christmas pajama top belonging to the girl, who is believed to have been taken by the attacker, and have made a further appeal to the public to help find it.
