A van got out of the way after being involved in an accident that closed a major road for five hours.
Police were called to reports of a crash on East Lancashire Road Westbound between the A5207 Moorgate Road and Randles Farm Interchange Link Road near Kirkby today.
The accident is believed to have happened around 05.05.

A truck and van were involved in the accident on Moorgate Road, and photos taken at the scene show the van got off the road.
Pictures taken at the scene around 9.30am show a roadblock in place and several police officers.
A van can be seen with damage to the side of the vehicle.
The road was blocked for about five hours for salvage and reopened around 10 p.m.
A Merseyside police spokesman confirmed that a man was taken to hospital, but the extent of his injuries is unclear.
The road has since reopened and the salvage has now been cleared.
A Merseyside Police spokesman said: “East Lancashire Road Westbound was closed due to an accident between the A5207 Moorgate Road and Randles Farm Interchange Link Road.
“It happened around 5:05 a.m., but the road was blocked until about 10 a.m. to salvage the car.
“HGV and Van involved on Moorgate Road. A man brought to the hospital.”
