Martha Kalifatidis and Michael Brunelli have BOTH coronavirus after their whirlwind trip to America: ‘I need a filter because Covid makes you ugly’
Married at first glance couple Martha Kalifatidis and Michael Brunelli have been tested positive for coronavirus, a few days after returning from North America.
Martha, 33, confirmed the news on Instagram Wednesday night, telling her followers she had to ‘use a catfish filter because Covid makes you so ugly’.
“I do not know how, but it changes your face and makes you ugly … and yes, Michael and I tested positive for Covid,” she said.

Martha explained that they had tested negative when they returned to Australia from LA on Christmas Eve, and presumably they got the virus later from someone they went to dinner with.
She continued: ‘So when we left LA, we showed a negative test that left America. As soon as we landed in Australia we took another test and we showed negative and it was Christmas Eve. We went to dinner and someone had it. ‘
Martha went on to list the double-vaccinated couple’s experiences with the virus.
‘Covid stinks. It’s so damn king shit. Some people are like, “It’s just a cold,” but it’s a beautiful s ** t one. It’s like sore throat, gastrointestinal and flu in one. ‘
Martha urged her fans to keep Covid safe by disinfecting their hands, taking social distance and wearing a mask indoors to limit the spread of the virus.
She added that Michael did ‘projectile vomiting’ at the start of his symptoms, which is quite uncommon.

Martha also revealed that her mother, Big Brother VIP star Mary Kalifatidis, had not tested positive yet, despite the fact that she and Michael live in her home in Melbourne.
‘Mary, by a miracle, does not have Covid, so we just stay home in [bed]room, she added.
Michael also addressed his diagnosis on Instagram and shared a selfie with a stony face and a screenshot of his text message from the Victorian health department.
“Been better,” he wrote.
