RLJE Films has acquired North American rights to the Charlie Hunnam and Mel Gibson-directed action comedy “Last Looks” based on Howard Michael Gould’s LA detective novel series about the character Charlie Waldo.

Morena Baccarin, Rupert Friend, Dominic Monaghan, Lucy Fry and Cliff ‘Method Man’ Smith also star in the Tim Kirkby-directed film about a former LAPD superstar who left the force and now lives deep in the woods until an eccentrically intoxicated actress, whose wife has been murdered lures Waldo out of retirement to investigate. Exhibitor CineMark has confirmed that Sony’s upcoming Marvel adaptation “Morbius” times in with a playing time of 108 minutes – twenty minutes longer than the “Venom” sequel and about half an hour shorter than the original “Venom”. The Jared Leto-led vampire movie is set to be released exclusively in theaters on January 28, 2022. [Source: Collider]

A few important home video dates have been announced. Sony’s “Ghostbusters: Afterlife” goes digital on January 4th and will be followed by a Blu-ray and 4K UHD release on February 1st. The latter will include a deleted scene and several featurettes.

Meanwhile, Edgar Wright’s time-psychological thriller “Last Night in Soho” is locked in a digital release on January 4th and a Blu-ray and 4K UHD release on January 14th. It will have deleted scenes, a ‘Downtown’ music video, various pieces of test footage, animation and a handful of featurettes.

To kill Eve
A new teaser for the fourth and final season of “Killing Eve” has been released. The eight episodes suggest time is running out for Sandra Oh’s Eve and Jodie Comers Villanelle. The final race begins on BBC America on 27 February 2022.
