As the prevalence of COVID-19 boosters continues, a statement from Toronto Public Health said later today that 33 percent of eligible Toronto residents will have received their third vaccine.

Anyone 18 or older in Ontario is eligible for a booster at least 84 days after receiving a second dose of COVID vaccine.

There are places in the city where an appointment is not necessary:

The Humber River Vaccine Clinic at Crossroads Plaza opens from 6 p.m. 10am to 4pm, or while stocks last for the first, second and third dose. Pfizer is offered for those under 30, and Moderna for those 30 and over.

Michael Garron Hospital in East York hosts three other pop-up vaccination clinics between 10.00 and 18.00 today. They are held at Crescent Town Elementary School, Earl Haig Public School and St. John Catholic School. First and second shots are offered to anyone who enters, but third shots will only be given to those who live in nearby zip codes.

The following vaccine clinics require an appointment:

City-run immunization clinics
The five city-run immunization clinics continue to add new appointments to the first, second and third doses of COVID-19 vaccine. To book an appointment, click on the blue “Book a vaccine” button at toronto.ca/covid-19 or call 1-833-943-3900. City-run clinics are easily accessible by transit and offer free on-site parking. Clinic staff are also able to make resources available in multiple languages. A person with a vaccination period can also bring a support person to help with translation.

People with vaccination appointments are asked to arrive at vaccination clinics no more than 10 minutes before time. There will be vaccine doses available to anyone who has a time; arriving earlier than necessary does not affect availability. There are no walk-in times at City-run vaccination clinics.
