ACT extends priority testing at Garran Clinic to Thursday and Friday 30 and 31 December | Canberra Times

federal-and-trade policy,

On Thursday and Friday, the Garran COVID-19 test center will again only be open to Canberrans with the greatest risk of having the virus. The Garran website will be open from 7.30am to 9pm for close or casual contacts, people who have symptoms of COVID-19, all who have returned a positive fast antigen test result and returned international travelers. High-priority testers were only allowed in Garran on Wednesday, and test waiting times appeared to be shorter than usual. At 12 noon on Wednesday, ACT Health said the Nicholls site had a waiting time of about half an hour and that the Garran site had a waiting time of over an hour. MORE COVID-19 NEWS: Children under the age of five and their families can also be tested at Garran for any approved reason, including for pre-trip testing. Test sites across the ACT have had capacity at various times in the last few weeks. ACT Health Minister Rachel Stephen-Smith has said about 50 percent of the people being tested want to travel interstate. The Kambah drive-through clinic (8 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and the Mitchell drive-through clinic (8 a.m. to 10 p.m.) will both be open tomorrow for anyone wishing to have a PCR test. Nicholls test clinic will also be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for all. The clinic remains located across the oval to the adjacent Gold Creek School Senior Site. The entrance is via Clarrie Hermes Drive. Here’s what’s (and isn’t) open until early January in Canberra’s restaurant / cafe / winery world.
