They married in 2000 after dating for seven years.

Marcus was only 22 and was working as a deputy manager at Gravetye Manor in West Sussex when he met Jane, who was a front of house manager.

In an interview with Telegraph in 2015, Marcus said, “I did not ask her to marry me until I really knew she was right for what I wanted. Jane understood my industry.

“She got who I was and never put pressure on me to be anything else. I had free control.”

Jane describes herself as a “patient wife to a chef” on her Twitter account, @mrsmwareing .

When they finally tied the knot in 2000, Marcus asked one of the most famous chefs in the world to be his best man.

Gordon Ramsay was Marcus’ best man, but the two have since collapsed over a long-running feud from their time at Aubergine

Gordon Ramsay was asked after the couple worked together at the iconic London restaurant Aubergine in the 1990s.

Unfortunately, the friendship is no more as the protracted feud between them continues.

Marcus and Jane live in a lovely £ 5 million home in Wimbledon with their three children.

Their eldest son is Jake and his godfather is Chef Ramsay.

They have two more children named Jessie and Archie.

In October 2019, the couple were victims of burglars who raided their homes and stole items worth £ 33,000.
