Charges raised after husband’s death Christmas Day on Muskoday First Nation

A charge of manslaughter has been raised by the Prince Albert RCMP in connection with a man’s death on Christmas Day at Muskoday First Nation.

David Duong, 34, appeared in his first appearance Tuesday at the Prince Albert Provincial Court and was remanded in custody until Wednesday, when his cases were adjourned until January 5.

On December 25, at approx. 6 in the morning, the Prince Albert RCMP received a report of a wounded man in a residence on Muskoday First Nation.

South Bear, 34, was pronounced dead at the scene.
