A record number of daily Covid cases have been reported in Northern Ireland, with 4,701 confirmed cases.
Three new coronavirus-related deaths have also been reported by the Ministry of Health on Thursday.
One of the recorded deaths occurred outside the current reporting period.
It comes as the board met to elaborate on the latest coronavirus data and confirmed that no new restrictions would be introduced.
There is instead a change in the rules around self-isolation for positive cases from Friday, where those who test positive only have to be isolated for seven days, subject to a sidestream test on days six and seven.
The Northern Ireland Executive has not yet agreed any further restrictions. We will continue to evaluate the data as more information emerges and we meet again on 6 January. Thank you for following the health advice and helping us through this challenging time.
