The health authority issued a message on Twitter on Wednesday afternoon, reporting that the province’s online COVID-19 screening platform is currently under maintenance.

On Wednesday evening, a message appeared on the platform’s website:

“We are currently in a maintenance period. The platform will be available shortly, please try again later. We remind you that screening at a screening center should only be considered if you have symptoms of COVID-19 and you can not take a quick test. ”

Earlier in the day, the CIUSSS de la Mauricie-et-du-Center-du-Québec reported that “inaccessible time slots were booked in the coming days at various test centers in the region” due to a technical issue on the screening platform.

As a result, CIUSSS said it would only administer PCR tests to healthcare professionals and patients awaiting surgery outside the Mauricie and Center-du-Québec areas. Anyone else who shows up at a test center “will be given a quick test to do at home,” CIUSSS said, noting that there is “a limited amount of quick tests available on site.”

Canceled COVID-19 test agreements due to the technical problem have also been reported in the Villeray district of Montreal, Laval and in Boucherville on the South Shore.
