Michael Mosley’s weight loss tips include “Reversing Your Metabolism!”

Dr. Michael Mosley has an easy way to shift your metabolism and see results in a few weeks if you want to lose weight but do not want to spend months trying.

“Your body is like a hybrid car; it runs on two main energy sources, sugar and fat, ”explains Michael.

“If glucose (sugar) is available, which comes from carbohydrate-rich foods like bread, potatoes and pasta, the body will burn it.

“But fat is a far more efficient source of energy, and switching from glucose to fat as a fuel source can result in a number of benefits.”

“When we eat meals high in carbohydrates, the body breaks them down into glucose, which causes your blood sugar to rise,” he continued.

“Insulin is released by the pancreas to help the body use sugar as a fuel source.

“This lowers blood sugar levels quickly and any glucose that is not used for instant energy is stored as glycogen.”

“When your glycogen stores are full, excess glucose is stored as fat, causing you to gain weight,” he continued.

What’s more, when your blood sugar rises, your pancreas produces more insulin to help distribute glucose.

“This triggers an insulin resistance cycle that can lead to type 2 diabetes.”

“My advice is to cut down on soft drinks, sweets, rice, potatoes, bread and fruit juices,” Michael said when asked what foods need to be exchanged to make it possible to change metabolism.

“Choose non-starchy vegetables, whole grains and legumes over starchy vegetables.

“A low-carb diet is not the same as a carb-free diet.”

Vegetables with a low carbohydrate content have plenty of space.
