“Just look at the revelations that came from it … the accusations of being abandoned by Meghan when she was pregnant, the generous racist remarks that they claim someone in the royal family had made, which triggered a kind of international manhunt, “Myers explained.

“I think the fallout from that interview is going to take an awful long time to repair, if it is actually repaired, because the wounds are still very, very raw from that interview, and I think Harry and Meghan will take up. the pieces, as the royals will, for a while. “

Myers also pointed out that Prince Philips’ death and the Queen’s heartbreaking solitary performance at his funeral were some of the most defining royal moments of 2021.

“What we can take from the Queen’s health is that she was very keen to host her family in Sandringham over Christmas,” he explained.

“We’ve seen her come out and around for public engagements. She’s 95 years old, we sometimes forget because she’s been doing so well the last couple of years. We have to treat her carefully, and sometimes she has to be rescued from himself, much of the time.

“She takes it easy and it bodes well for everyone involved.”

Looking forward to the new year, Myers said the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are ready to enter a “new dawn” as the Queen gets older and Harry and Meghan are out of the royal spotlight.

Myers also revealed the couple’s plans to have children, claiming that William and Kate will not have a fourth royal baby.

“I don’t think we’re going to see more kids from Cambridges, no matter how much Kate has said she potentially wants a fourth,” he said.

“I think William has put his foot down for it. Harry and Meghan have said they probably only wanted two, for the sake of their environment for the planet.”

He added: “I do not think it will be Tindalls, it will probably be Eugenie and Beatrice too. But since they have just had children, they will probably have some rest as they have been new parents.”
