Burnley star Ben Mee has warned Manchester United that the Clarets will come after them tonight as they chase three points to increase their hopes of survival.
In their last league game, the Red Devils lost points against relegation zone residents Newcastle United, and today they take on another bottom team in the form of Burnley.
Burnley have not played a match since the middle of the month, but today’s match will be the Red Devils’ second of the week.
Mee stressed that the Clarets are aiming to go to Old Trafford to throw a key in and disturb the Red Devils.
The Burnley captain believes that getting a result at Old Trafford would lay a good foundation for the Clarets themselves to shoot up the table and warned Manchester United that his team would go after them.
Speaking to Burnley’s official site, Mee said: “I even thought in April this year that we were performing well, even though we continued to lose late.
“We are confident we will look to go there and disrupt them and definitely come after them.
“There are some world class players there, they are a good side and can be very dangerous.
“But there’s a chance for us to go there and get something and start climbing up the table.”
Manchester United are seven points behind Arsenal in fourth place in the league table, but they have two games in hand and after not seizing the opportunity to win ground on their rivals against Newcastle United, they will be eager to get the win against Burnley.
