61-year-old man dies after side-by-side crash on T’Railway near Red Rocks

A 61-year-old man from the Channel-Port aux Basques has died, according to police, after crashing his side-by-side ATV on the T’Railway near Red Rocks.

The RCMP said it received a report of the crash just before noon. 18.30 Wednesday.

Side-by-side crashed at a wash-out area on T’Railway, with the driver and a passenger on board.

According to police, the driver was not wearing a seat belt or helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The passenger was transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, the RCMP said.

The chief physician’s office is involved, the RCMP said, and the investigation continues.
