Brough man who disappeared two weeks ago ‘sowed 250 miles away’, police say

An eager outdoor man from East Yorkshire who was reported missing almost two weeks ago may have been seen in the south-west of England, police have said.

Brough man Owen, whose last name has not been revealed, was last seen in Doncaster on December 15 and was reported missing to Humberside Police three days later.

The 43-year-old also has connections to North Yorkshire.

But officers 250 miles away have now said an observation of Owen has been reported.

Avon and Somerset Police tweeted that they had received a report of Owen seen in the area of ​​strength on December 29th.

The message does not specify where in the Avon and Somerset area he was seen.

Humberside Police’s initial appeal said: “Owen is from the Brough area but was last seen in Doncaster on Wednesday 15 December and has connections to North Yorkshire.

“He was reported missing on December 18. Extensive investigations have taken place and are continuing, but we urge anyone who has seen Owen to contact us.

“He is believed to drive a gray Range Rover, which has roof racks front and rear, side skirt steps and is equipped with a static towbar. He is also known for frequent rural locations.

“He is described as being 5’10” with short brown hair and with a beard. He is believed to be wearing a black cap and was last seen wearing a black jacket, a blue polo shirt and black boots.

“If you’ve seen Owen, or know where he is, please contact us at our non-emergency number 101, indicating log number 230 of December 18, 2021.”

Avon and Somerset Police tweeted today (December 30) to spread the call to locate Owen in the Southwest, saying, “Can you help our colleagues at Humberside Police find the missing 43-year-old Owen?

“He was spotted on December 29 in the Avon and Somerset force area. If you see him, please call Humberside Police on 101 and provide log number 230 from December 18, 2021.”
