Environment Canada concludes snowfall warning

More snow fell on top of an already snow-covered city while winter continues to topple Nanaimo.

Environment Canada has completed its snowfall warning and the weather forecast for the rest of the day is a mix of sun and clouds with the possibility of rain. The weather forecast for Friday, December 31st is mainly sunny with showers at night.

Thursday’s highest is -1 C with a low temperature of -5 C, and Friday’s temperature is expected to be around -2 all day.

The weekend can bring temperatures above zero, and rain is possible Saturday night and expected Sunday during the day.

The city of Nanaimo canceled the garbage collection on Wednesday and Thursday the 29th-30th. December, and depending on the weather, they will try to pick up curb waste this coming weekend.
