Australian vice-captain Steve Smith had a night to forget last Thursday when he was stuck in an elevator at the team hotel.
Smith portrayed his adventures on his Instagram story before he was eventually rescued.
“Not quite the night I had planned, I’m currently stuck in an elevator – I’ve been here for about 25 minutes,” he said.

“I have tried to get the door open – I have this side open, Marnus [Labuschagne] is on the other hand.
“I could be here for a while.”
Labuschagne was nice enough to push a bag of M & Ms through the door to the delight of his vice captain.
After an hour, he was finally rescued, to some applause from his teammates.
“Safe back in my room, finally out of the elevator – it was definitely an experience. 55 minutes I will probably never come back.”
