Thousands of birds die in the midst of Israel’s worst ever ‘wildlife crisis


Thousands of birds around Israel’s Hula Reservoir were seen fighting, suffering and dying when an outbreak of bird flu triggered alarms across the region. More than 5,000 migratory cranes had died from the virus on the first day, and local authorities declared the area banned and began killing hundreds of thousands of poultry to try to stop the virus from spreading.
