Paramount Pictures has announced plans for an untitled live-action comedy from the production team of “South Park” creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker alongside musician Kendrick Lamar.
Frequent “South Park” writer-producer Vernon Chatman wrote the film, which follows a young black man who is practicing as a slave-re-enactor at a living historical museum. He quickly discovers that his white girlfriend’s ancestors once owned his.
Paramount will handle cinema distribution, home entertainment and television licensing rights, with the movie streaming being exclusive to the Paramount + service.
Production is scheduled to begin in the spring, but no cast or director is currently attached.
