Manchester City sell Ferran Torres
Manchester City would sign Ferran Torres from Valencia in August 2020.
Torres proved to be a bit of a player during his first season with the Sky Blues, not surprising given his age, the fact that it marked his first in the Premier League, and the huge competition for places at the Etihad, especially in the attacking third. .
Despite all this, the 21-year-old still managed 36 games for City, scoring an impressive 13 goals and delivering three assists.
Torres would then also hit the ground running this season. After the Citizens’ inability to sign a striker over the summer, Pep Guardiola chose to give the Spaniard the chance to shine in a false-nine role.
And Torres looked impressive in the first weeks of the campaign, including against Arsenal, as he scored twice and provided an assist.
However, the young player suffered an injury and before he had a chance to return, he was sold to Barcelona in the winter window for a potential € 65 million.

Barça will pay € 55 million guaranteed plus € 10 million in installments.
Man City only agreed to sell because Ferrán asked to move back to Spain.
Xavi was the key when he called Ferrán many times and he only wanted him.

Manchester City ser Vinicius Junior
And now it looks like Manchester City are looking at a potential replacement for Torres.
According to Goal, referring to Spanish side El Nacional, City have made an initial inquiry to Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior, with Pep Guardiola said to have contacted the 21-year-old’s representatives in person regarding a potential summer transfer.
It is added that the Sky Blues are actually looking at Vinicius as a possible replacement for Torres, after his switch back to Spain.
However, Madrid have no plans to sell and want to avoid a repeat of the Robinho deal, which was brokered back in 2008.
Vinicius Junior has scored 15 and assisted nine in 27 matches for Real during this period.
