The Illuminated River Foundation, which has illuminated the Thames River bridges, has partnered with the Thames Festival Trust to introduce a new Illuminated River category in their ThamesLens photo competition.
The Illuminated River stretches across nine bridges from Lambeth to London Bridges and is a long-term art installation that lights up the bridges between Lambeth Bridge and London Bridge with individual lighting effects.
The competition encourages non-professional photographers to take unique photos of the Thames and what it means to them personally with the theme ‘My Thames Vision’.
The public can submit photographs of the Illuminated River artwork at night for the chance to win the following prizes:
- First prize / overall winner: £ 500 cash prize plus an exclusive 2x dinner cruise with City Cruises
- Second prize: Philips Hue Smart lighting system plus an exclusive dinner cruise x 2 with City Cruises
The competition closes for registration on Friday, January 28, 2022.
The winners of the Illuminated River category will be chosen by a panel of representatives from the Thames Festival Trust, the Port of London Authority and Sarah Gaventa.
