Put on your warm winter gear and grab sunglasses. It will be a good weekend to enjoy yourself inside or drive on the slopes – depending on your tolerance for cold.

After a cold Saturday morning with temperatures in your teens and wind cold at single digits for some, you can expect clear skies, sunshine and high temperatures around freezing, 32 °.

Get together for any dinner plan: Temperatures will drop back to the 20s by 7pm, says Storm Team4.

The winter cold subsides on Sunday. Higher can reach the upper 30s to low 40s.

On Sunday it will be mostly cloudy, and a small rockfall can cause some snow showers. It does not have much moisture, but Storm Team4 will be on snowflake watch in the evening.

10-day weather forecast for the DC area

Sunshine returns Monday before our next Arctic front arrives on Tuesday. A wintry blend is possible with this front, but the bigger story will be the bitter cold behind.

Prepare for temperatures below freezing all day Wednesday and Thursday, and then high temperatures in the 30s next weekend.
