Leeds confirm Kalvin Phillips stance and more Manchester United transfer rumors

Leeds have no interest in selling Kalvin Phillips in the summer, despite reported interest from Manchester United.

Phillips has been one of Leeds’ standout players over the last few years, playing a big hand in their return to the Premier League before earning a regular spot in the England side with his performances last season.

Injuries have hampered his progress this season, and he hasn’t been seen since December – although that hasn’t stopped speculation linking him with a move away from Elland Road.

According to the Daily Mail, Phillips wants to play Champions League football, which has put the likes of United, Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain on high alert.

Leeds though have no wish to sell the midfielder, despite reports in Spain suggesting Real Madrid have also thrown their hat in the ring.

The Yorkshire club are said to be more willing to let Phillips move abroad rather than to one of their Premier League rivals, with reports claiming the 26-year-old is one of the ‘great obsessions’ for Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti.

Elsewhere, Diogo Dalot is being linked with a reunion with former United boss Jose Mourinho at Roma.

Reports in Italy suggest Mourinho is looking at a summer clear-out in the Italian capital, which could include former United midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s departure at the end of his contract.

Il Corriere dello Sport (via Football Italia) claim a loan for Dalot remains an option for Mourinho, although Roma are also considering other options.

Feyenoord’s Marcos Senesi and Lens’ Facundo Medina have both been linked, with Roma preparing should Ainsley Maitland-Niles return to Arsenal in the summer.
