Man charged with murder after two men found dead in Sydney’s home

A man is charged with two counts murder after two men were found dead inside one Sydney unit, described by police as a “very difficult and confrontational” crime.

The 41-year-old was arrested and charged Monday after the bodies of two men, aged 32 and 52, were allegedly found with “significant injuries” inside a Cleveland Street unit in Redfern just before midnight Saturday night.

Detective Rodney Hart said the complex is “two terrace units side by side that have been converted into a guest house with access from the back yard”.

“We think one of the victims was on the triple zero phone while police were on their way to help,” he added.

Detective Hart said it was “a very difficult and confrontational crime scene.”

Their investigation led to the arrest of a 41-year-old man on a unit in the same street on Monday.

Police searched the unit where he was arrested and seized a number of items before the man was charged with two counts of murder.

He was denied bail and will appear in the High Court today.
